How long have you maintained your weight loss?

by Guest Author on August 27, 2010

How long have you maintained your goal weight, and how? Have you ever been in a cycle of yo-yo dieting? Do you think it is possible to maintain your weight loss for life?
Thanks in advance :)

Other than gaining 20 pounds when I was pregnant, and going back to size 3?

Other than gaining 20 more pounds when I got laid off? I’ve only lost 5 pounds to get to my normal adult 60 year old figure, which is where I want to be.

It didn’t take long to gain those 20 pounds, but it sure took forever to lost 5 pounds!!!!

I’m programmed to eat healthier all my life, coming from families in their 90’s. My secret? 3-5 servings of fresh fruits & vegetables, rice everyday, and don’t go for desserts & seconds. AND more activities, instead of watching TV or sitting around doin’ nothin’.

I weighed 150 and I am only 5 feet tall. I got shingles and was forced to eat healthy and I went down to 126 (Also found out i had high cholesterol). Its been almost a year now and i have kept my weight to 130 and under and have been shingle free the whole time. I got shingles 3 times last year and decided it was time for a change.
